Iraq pursues scaled-down water injection project

Iraq is moving forward on a long-delayed water pipeline project that is necessary to raise mid-term oil production at several of the country's biggest fields.
The re-envisioned project is smaller in scope than previously planned - likely making it easier to implement in the short term, but also raising new questions about whether Iraq will have the supporting infrastructure required to meet its longer-term production goals.
