Baiji refinery ‘more than a year’ from re-start
Iraq's largest oil refinery remains offline with damage assessments incomplete, attacks continuing, and the government unable to control intake or outflow pipeline routes.

BAGHDAD - Iraq's largest oil refinery still faces enormous obstacles before it can resume operations, one month after Iraqi forces regained control of the city of Baiji from insurgents led by the so-called Islamic State (IS) group.
"It could take more than a year to get it operating again," said a senior technical official at the refinery.
