BAGHDAD - Workers at the Rumaila oilfield, and possibly Zubair and Majnoon, will prevent foreign workers from entering the sites Tuesday, according to an internal union memo.
The three fields account for more than half of Iraq's production. Rumaila is the country's largest field and has been signed to BP and the Chinese National Petroleum Corp. to develop as part of a massive plan to increase oil production capacity with the help of international oil companies (IOCs).
