Better ‘intel’ leads police to smuggling source
No arrests have been made but police say increased intelligence and technical monitoring helped plug a smuggling hole in a vital pipeline.

NASSIRIYA - Following a tip and noticeable decrease in pressure in an oil pipeline, Oil Police in Dhi Qar province found an illegally placed valve of semi-professional quality, and are convinced they are hot on the trail of the perpetrator.
Smuggling of oil and fuel has been an epidemic in Iraq, though security and other measures have helped stem the problem.
