Court replaces expert in oil rights case
The Supreme Court rescinded the appointment of a technical expert after KRG lawyers challenged his objectivity, further delaying a case to adjudicate Baghdad-KRG oil disputes.

BAGHDAD - Iraq's Federal Supreme Court has again pushed back its timetable in deciding a seminal case regarding the balance of oil powers between the federal government and the autonomous Kurdistan region.
At a hearing Wednesday, the court rescinded the appointment of Hamza al-Jawahery, an oil expert who had been appointed two weeks ago, after lawyers representing the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) challenged his objectivity.
