Disputes between Baghdad and IOCs keep northern oil exports offline
One month after Parliament passed legislation designed to help restart the pipeline to Turkey, implementation is mired in old disagreements.

Iraq’s northern export pipeline remains offline more than a month after Parliament amended the national budget law to create a new framework for integrating Kurdistan’s oil companies into the federal export system.
Since the law was passed on Feb. 2, oil industry officials have described difficult meetings with both federal Iraqi officials and Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) leaders over how to interpret the law and put it into practice.
