February production falls as OPEC cuts begin to bite
With reduced output at state-run fields, Iraq moves toward compliance with a quota designed to lift global prices.

BAGHDAD - Iraq’s total oil production fell by about 70,000 barrels per day (bpd) in February as the government took measures to cut output in line with an OPEC agreement.
The federal government and the autonomous Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) together produced about 4.83 million barrels per day (bpd), according to an Iraq Oil Report analysis based on data gathered from each of the country's producing fields*, down from an estimated 4.90 million bpd in January.
