Iranian and Iraqi pipeline engineers killed

Iranian and Iraqi workers on gas pipeline already delayed by security problems slayed by unknown gunmen.

BAQUBA - At least 17 engineers working on an Iran-Iraq natural gas pipeline in Diyala province were killed on their way back to their base at the Naft Khana oil field near Khanaqin.

A senior Diyala province security official said 15 Iranian and two Iraqi "engineers, technicians, and workers… were killed when unknown gunmen opened fire against their vehicle between Alnida wa Khazraj, a work site, and Naft Khana."
