Minister questioning postponed

Election and massive violence take up Parliament’s agenda, delaying expected heated query of oil minister’s decisions.

Oil Minister Hussain al-Shahristani’s scheduled date to defend his policies before Parliament has been moved to Nov. 11.

The questioning, requested by opponents of Shahristani and Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki in the Parliament’s oil and gas committee, was to take place Oct. 27.
