KIRKUK - Iraq is set to nearly double the allocation of Kirkuk crude to refineries run by KAR Group in Erbil, a sign of deepening cooperation between the Oil Ministry and the Iraqi Kurdish firm, despite opposition from Baghdad lawmakers.
The increased allocation is in line with a deal that began a year ago and expanded to other Kurdistan refineries last June.
