Production falls further as Iraq pursues OPEC compliance

While the country's output is still over its quota, Iraq has now cut more than 600,000 bpd compared to its first-quarter production average.

Iraq's month-on-month oil production dropped by 265,000 barrels per day (bpd) in June as the Oil Ministry moved closer toward compliance with an OPEC-plus agreement to bolster global oil prices.

Countrywide crude output averaged about 3.91 million bpd, according to an Iraq Oil Report analysis based on data from all producing fields*, suggesting the ministry has now fully implemented a slate of cuts it began to make in early May.
