HOUSTON - Abdul Mahdy al-Ameedi sits at the center of deal-making that will shape Iraq's oil sector for decades.
He recently oversaw Iraq's fifth bidding round, for which the Oil Ministry overhauled the model contract that structures its relationship with international oil companies (IOCs) - and awarded six projects.
