BASRA - The state-run Iraqi Oil Tankers Company (IOTC) handles the lucrative export of fuel oil from southern Iraq, shuttling the refined product to floating storage in the Basra Gulf.
IOTC also helps with the export of crude oil produced at the Qayarah oil field, which is transported overland to the Khor al-Zubair port in Basra and then shuttled to deeper water for loading onto large ships.
