BASRA - Iraq's Khor al-Zubair port is a key transit hub for the import and export of refined products, some general cargo, and the export of crude oil from the Qayarah oil field.
Alaa Khalaf Hassan is the director of the port. He spoke with Iraq Oil Report about ongoing efforts to rehabilitate and expand the port, which currently has the potential to handle more crude and fuel volumes.
