KARMADI - As the Iraqi government tries to retake territory in its campaign to liberate Mosul, it is depending heavily on allies like Sheikh Sudad Sakhar Salman al-Luhebi.
Luhebi is the commander of a group of Sunni tribal fighters working under the al-Hashid al-Watani (National Mobilization) program, fighting alongside the Iraqi Army to defeat the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) in several villages west of Makhmour, on the way to Mosul.
