BASRA - Even in the midst of a pandemic, Iraq has still needed to transport oil products throughout the country, to both domestic consumers and export outlets.

Although domestic demand fell sharply due to curfews and other government measures intended to slow the spread of the new coronavirus, the Oil Ministry's Oil Products Distribution Company (OPDC) still had plenty of work.

In an interview with Iraq Oil Report from his Basra office, Arkan Abdul-Qaddir al-Hilfi, the head of the southern directorate of OPDC, says health precautions have been adequate – they haven't had a single worker diagnosed with COVID-19 – and fuel is flowing without interruption.
