Qayarah and Haditha refineries re-open
The Oil Ministry is re-starting the Qayarah refinery, which had temporarily shut due to smuggling concerns, as well as Anbar province's Haditha refinery.

Oil refineries are coming back online in northern Iraq as the Oil Ministry seeks to revive local economies and fuel the reconstruction of areas liberated from the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) militant group.
The Qayarah refinery, 60 kilometers south of Mosul, has re-opened – with a second unit now in operation – after two months offline due to a showdown with fuel smugglers.
