Qayarah and Haditha refineries re-open

Oil refineries are coming back online in northern Iraq as the Oil Ministry seeks to revive local economies and fuel the reconstruction of areas liberated from the self-proclaimed Islamic State (IS) militant group.
The Qayarah refinery, 60 kilometers south of Mosul, has re-opened – with a second unit now in operation – after two months offline due to a showdown with fuel smugglers.
