Spurned over budget, Kurds mull opposition

SULAIMANIYA - Kurdish political leaders may withdraw from Iraq's coalition government and become an opposition bloc, after parliamentary allies of Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki secured the passage of the 2013 budget without the participation of Kurdish MPs.
The Kurds boycotted the Parliament vote, saying the allocation of funds for foreign oil companies working in Kurdistan was insufficient.
